Fine structure in the luminosity function in young stellar populations with <i>Gaia</i> DR2

چکیده

A pioneering study showed that the fine structure in luminosity function (LF) of young star clusters contains information about evolutionary stage (age) and composition stellar population. The notable features include H-peak, which is result onset hydrogen burning turning pre-main sequence stars into main stars. feature moves toward faint end LF, eventually disappears as population evolves. the effects of changing roughness on the flow structure in the bends

flow in natural river bends is a complex and turbulent phenomenon which affects the scour and sedimentations and causes an irregular bed topography on the bed. for the reason, the flow hydralics and the parameters which affect the flow to be studied and understand. in this study the effect of bed and wall roughness using the software fluent discussed in a sharp 90-degree flume bend with 40.3cm ...

Young stellar populations in the Magellani Clouds

We discuss the young population of stars and clusters in the Magellanic Clouds. We present the discovery of pre-main sequence candidates in the nebula N 11 in the Large Magellanic Clouds. The comparison of the Colour-Magnitude diagram with pre-main sequence tracks and the presence of Spitzer objects YSO I and II suggest that the star formation has been active for a long period in the region, fr...

Young stellar populations in the solar neighbourhood

Stellar X-ray surveys play an important role in understanding the star formation history in our Galaxy in the last billion years (the scale time of coronal activity evolution). In particular, the comparison of observed counts in a given sky direction with predictions by Galactic models can put constraints on the spatial distribution and stellar birthrate of stellar populations. We present the r...

Stellar Populations in the Central Galaxies of Fossil Groups

It is inferred from the symmetrical and luminous X-ray emission of fossil groups that they are mature, relaxed galaxy systems. Cosmological simulations and observations focusing on their dark halo and inter-galactic medium properties confirm their early formation. Recent photometric observations suggest that, unlike the majority of non-fossil brightest group galaxies (BGGs), the central early-t...
